Resources for our retailer and supplier partners to learn more about the Food Traceability Rule and UNFI’s road to compliance.
As of March 20, 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced its intention to delay the Food Traceability Rule compliance date by 30 months. UNFI is continuing to work toward compliance while adjusting internal processes and timelines. We’ll provide more detail on retailer and supplier requirements at a later date.
The FDA is requiring all companies that hold, pack, or sell foods to keep detailed records for a specific list of foods found on the Food Traceability List (FTL). For more general information on the Food Traceability Rule, please see our list of resources.
