	Quality Assurance International In 2002, UNFI became the first coast-to-coast natural products company certified in organic distribution. Our certification by Quality Assurance international, a USDA accredited organic certification organization, means that we meet the stringent standards of the National Organic Program and that we have all the required systems in place to verify and maintain the organic integrity of product through entire supply chain. UNFI is the largest wholesale trader of organic goods, nationally, with over 6,000 SKU’s of organic products.
	USDA Organic Symbol When you see this seal on products, it tells you the product is 95% or more organic. There are three levels to which a product can meet organic standards:
	100% Organic Organic: Foods consisting of at least 95% Organic Ingredients. Made with Organic Ingredients: Foods consisting of at least 70% Organic Ingredients.
	Organic food is produced without:
	The use of conventional pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic or petrochemical ingredients or sewage sludge. Bioengineering or ionizing radiation. Genetically engineered seeds or artificial growth promoters.
