About Vitamin Angels

Vitamin_Angels_logoVitamin Angels, (www.VitaminAngels.org) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing vital nutrition to children and families in need since 1994. Vitamin Angels responds to the most pressing health concerns identified by the communities requesting its assistance. Nutritional products are contributed by an ever-enlarging association of Vitamin Angels -- a consortium of nutritional supplement manufacturers, distributors and retailers. These goods are then donated to charitable health care facilities and programs located in countries across the globe, including the United States. Last year Vitamin Angels donated over 100 million supplements to people in need in 42 countries around the world. To learn more, visit www.VitaminAngels.org.

Project Puffin

Project_Puffin_logoProject Puffin is National Audubon Society’s program to restore nesting colonies of Atlantic Puffins to nesting islands along the Maine coast. Destroyed by uncontrolled hunting for meat and feathers in the 1800’s, only one puffin pair survived in Maine by 1901. Today, about 700 pairs of puffins are thriving on several Maine islands due to Project Puffin. To carry this work worldwide, Audubon has created The Seabird Restoration Program for restoring seabirds to habitats where human actions (e.g. hunting, pollution and climate change) have decimated seabird colonies. At least 42 species in 12 countries have benefited so far.
