UNFI Chosen 12th Most Trustworthy Company by Forbes
UNFI (Nasdaq: UNFI) has been chosen as the 12th most trustworthy mid-cap company in America by Forbes Magazine. Forbes’ relies on data provided by Audit Integrity, an independent financial analysis company and, to create the list, compiles data on over 8,000 companies to assess the quality of accounting practices and management. Audit Integrity uses each company’s publicly filed information and applies over 100 metrics to determine the list.
“These are the good guys,” says Jack Zwigli, chief executive of Audit Integrity. “These companies have made it through our screening process and shown consistent high quality.” The companies on this list have shown excellent accounting practices and management and have also demonstrated solid performance on Wall Street, with shares on average up 53% in the last year (as compiled in March, 2010) as compared to 45% for the S&P 500.
