- New Texas Distribution Center Planned
October 28, 2009: UNFI today announced plans to lease a new 590,000 SF distribution center in Lancaster, Texas. The recently constructed building is strategically located 15 miles south of downtown Dallas at the intersection of Interstates 20 and 35. The facility provides UNFI with an ideal location to support retailers throughout the Southwest including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana.

September 9, 2009 UNFI today reported net income for fiscal 2009 increased $10.7 million, or 22.1%, to $59.2 million, or $1.38 per diluted share, from $48.5 million, or $1.13 per diluted share, for fiscal 2008.

June 1, 2009: Hershey Import Company, UNFI’s Edison, NJ based manufacturing division, announced today that the company will be adopting the name of UNFI's Flagship Brand and will now be known as Woodstock Farms®.

May 8, 2009: It has come to the attention of UNFI management that UNFI checks are being distributed as part of scams involving loans and lottery activity. UNFI and its subsidiaries are not affiliated in any manner with any sort of loan transactions or lottery activity.
